From the Ebola virus disease to the refugee crisis, from malnutrition to maternal and child mortality, the African Region’s health security is in a fragile state. With Africa Rising, its future depends on strong health care laws and policies.      

Dean Theodore W. Ruger, one of the nation’s leading experts on health law and policy will engage in a critical  conversation with  Ambassador Macharia Kamau, a global health expert.

In addition to his diplomatic assignments, Ambassador Macharia Kamau was International Consultant to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS for East and Southern Africa.
